The basics
What is Tradon, exactly?
Tradon runs the office side of trades and property businesses: requests, jobs, scheduling, invoices, reminders and reports. It's an app, plus real people in Saggart who set it up and keep an eye on it. We also build custom systems, websites with local SEO, and teach automation.
Is Tradon an app or a service?
Both. You get the Tradon app, and we set it up around how you already work and watch it every day. You're never left alone with a login.
Do I need to sign a long-term contract?
No. We don't lock you into long contracts. We'd rather earn your business by doing good work.
What areas of Ireland do you cover?
We're based in Saggart, Dublin 24, and work with businesses across Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow and Meath. Most of the work happens online, so location isn't a barrier.
Is it only for bigger teams, or can a one-person business use it?
Solo traders are exactly who we build for. Bigger teams run on Tradon too: it works whether it's just you or a full crew.
Will my customers notice anything different?
Yes, in a good way: faster replies, professional emails and their own page for quotes and invoices. Everything comes from your business, in your name, not ours.
How it works
How long does it take to get set up?
It depends on how much needs to change, but most businesses are up and running within a couple of weeks, including bringing in your customers.
Do I need to be technical?
No. We set it up and look after it. You carry on working the way you already do, minus the paperwork.
What happens if something breaks?
We fix it. Once you're live we keep an eye on things and sort out any issue, so you don't have to.
My technicians aren't into technology. Will they manage?
Yes. Their phone app shows today's jobs. Tap for details, take photos, press Finish. There's nothing else to learn.
What if a customer sends a messy email with half the details missing?
Bob, the helper in Tradon, fills in what's there and shows what's missing, so you can see at a glance what needs a quick reply. Nothing is guessed, nothing is lost.
Do I lose control of what gets booked?
No. Every request waits for a person to press Accept before it becomes a job, and every invoice waits for a person to press Send.
Does it work with my accounting software?
It works alongside it. Tradon gives your accountant an export of invoices, payments and bills, so nothing has to be typed in twice.
Money and compliance
What does it cost?
It depends on what you need, so there's no one-size price. We start with a free automation audit: a 30-minute chat, then a written one-page plan and one clear price. No surprises.
How does it handle Irish VAT?
VAT is worked out per line: 13.5% on labour and repairs, 23% on goods and materials. For a main contractor, every line goes out at 0% with the reverse charge wording and your VAT number. Your accountant still has the last word on tax.
Is my customer data safe?
Each business's records are kept apart, only your own people can see them, and you can download everything your business has at any time. Sent invoices are never quietly changed afterwards.
Will this make life easier for my accountant?
Yes. Every invoice, payment and job cost is in one place, with VAT by period and an export ready, so year end stops being a shoebox of receipts.
Results
I'm on the tools all day. Will this really save me time?
A missed call is often a lost job, and chasing invoices eats your evenings. Tradon catches the small things that slip through, so you lose less work and spend less time on paperwork after hours.
Can I try it before committing?
Yes. The free automation audit shows you exactly what you'd get before you decide anything.
How soon will I see a difference?
From the first week, requests stop slipping. The bigger gains, like reminders, yearly services and knowing your profit per job, build up over the first month or two.
I keep losing track of invoices and quotes. How do I stop that?
Every quote and invoice is tracked against its job from the moment it's made until it's paid. Nothing sits in an inbox or on a desk.
I don't always get back to customers about scheduling. What can I do?
Requests are caught the moment they land. Once you accept and book, one button tells the customer their time by email.
How do I keep on top of yearly services and inspections?
Finish a job that needs a yearly service and the next one is set up by itself. The customer gets a reminder before it's due, and anything overdue shows up as a to-do.
